The dreadful forecast didn’t stop our formidable team from conquering the course.  The whole team not only completed the distance, many achieved a PB along the way, despite the wet and windy weather.

HR Anchor has today announced the appointment of their latest recruit, Victoria Panagakis who joins Elissa Thursfield and her team at HR Anchor as Sales & Marketing Executive.

Victoria’s appointment comes after a hugely successful last 18 months for the HR Services company, which has seen them being selected for Business Wales Accelerated Growth Programme (AGP). HR Anchor offer a range of services to an array of businesses both large and small with bespoke packages built to meet individual requirements.

Victoria joins us with a wealth of experience as an Area Account Manager, supporting businesses to achieve their goals.

HR Anchor wins new clients and launches online client portal – A fast-growing HR consultancy is going from strength to strength.

HR Anchor has just secured its 30th client – just over a year since launching.

New clients include a global eCommerce technology business, Hurricane Modular Commerce and popular online fashion brand, Never Fully Dressed.

The company has also been contracted to look after the HR requirements for two award-winning Welsh businesses – construction firm Hollingsworth Group and hot tub retailer UK Leisure Living.

And, in a further development, HR Anchor has just launched a dedicated online portal for its clients, giving them the ability to access dozens of vital template documents, complementing the company’s team of consultants.

The North Wales-based company’s success has led to it being selected as a business with high growth potential by Business Wales’ Accelerated Growth Programme.

Elissa Thursfield, a director of HR Anchor, said: “We continue to go from strength to strength, winning clients in North Wales, across the UK and, in the case of Hurricane, globally.

“The most recent customer successes mean that we have now secured over £230,000 of contracts since we launched just over a year ago.

“Our new online portal is an important next step for HR Anchor as it gives clients the flexibility to access many of the documents they need to be able to run their businesses. We have big plans to continue expanding this area over the coming months as the business continues to grow.

“We are also delighted to have been chosen by Business Wales to be part of its prestigious Accelerated Growth Programme.”

HR Anchor was established by Elissa and her fellow directors at Gamlins Law, one of North Wales’ leading law firms, in January 2020.

In addition to managing HR Anchor, Elissa is Head of Employment Law at Gamlins Law.

When she isn’t working, Elissa is a volunteer with the RNLI station in Abersoch where she is a helmsman. She has featured in the BBC’s Saving Lives at Sea series.

HR Anchor is expanding quickly after a successful first year.

The HR Anchor team has grown to four and is planning further recruitment over the next couple of months to meet the growing demand from clients.

During 2021, the company will also launch mediation services and an online portal to allow clients to access template documents.

The Rhyl-based company has secured almost £150,000 of contracts including the Iconix Group which includes household brands such as Lee Cooper and Umbro.

Clients range from large PLCs with complex needs to start-ups requiring initial HR advice and guidance.

Alongside winning clients, the North Wales-based company has provided over 100 hours of free support to businesses tackling the challenges of the pandemic.

This included a series of webinars, video content, documentation templates and regular online updates on UK and Welsh Government announcements.

Among businesses requiring the most urgent support were those operating in the hospitality and care sectors as well as several charities which had been impacted by the loss of vital fundraising income.

HR Anchor was established by the directors of Gamlins Law, the leading law firm in North Wales, in January 2020.

Elissa Thursfield, a director of HR Anchor and Gamlins Law, said: “We went from a start-up in January to working flat out just a few weeks later, helping companies to confront some of the most difficult, demanding and, at times, emotional challenges they will ever face.
